I guess that the coiled hose makes her feel like she is in a nest and safe. She will also lay next to a straight section of a hose also.

These cats of ours are just weirdos. They pick the craziest places to find comfort. Oliver likes laptops and plastic bags. Betty also appreciates a nice plastic bag and Chubchub is partial to laundry baskets.

We have spent a fair bit of money and gone to alot of effort to provide comfortable safe, sunny sleeping havens for our boys....only to find they prefer sleeping on the coffee table, dining room table, on top of our shoes, ect...go figure.

At least your cats sleep near you. In my other post of her hiding, the shelf is about as far away from the living room as she can get.

Oliver chose quite a normal place for a rest albeit on top of a dryer six feet up.
