Hi all....I have visited this site a few times now, so in the end I have decided to join. My name is Annie, and I am from Worcester, a small town in South Africa.
I currently have two cats. A grey tabby and a ginger long haired tabby. I have never been a cat person, but since these two cats came into my life, it changed dramatically.
The first cat, the grey one, came into our lives unexpectedly. My son went to work at some ladies home on a Monday, and heard a kitten cry. He asked the lady about it, and she told him that the cat was in the tree since the Friday and was crying the whole weekend. She did nothing about it, because she does not like cats. So my son got the kitten out of the tree, and brought it home. He walked into our house with this very dirty, very hungry, very scared and very thin kitten.. And I immediately fell in love with him. And he found his forever home that day. He is now about 9 months old, and still only brings us joy and happiness.
The other stray, the ginger one, was kind of a feral kitten. I heard a commotion of dogs barking one night, and went out to take a look. Eventually I found the reason of the all the commotion. A kitten was huddled in one corner, behind a bin, and all the dogs were barking it. I just could not let the little one stay there, so I took it in, gave it some food, and thought I would release it back to where it came from. But to my surprise, although a stray, and extremely scared at first, this little kitten decided that it was going to adopt us.
And that is how my two cats came into my life. And made me a cat person. Since that first moment I knew that my life has changed forever. Since I did not know much about cats, I did do a lot of research, and that is how I stumbled onto this site. These two cats brightened up our lives, and I cannot imagine my life without them now.
Oh, my profile pic is of my two babies
