Hi there - I have two kitties, though only one is currently living with me. My first-ever cat, Simba (whom I found at a pet store when I was 21 - he was a tiny kitten, looking so sad and lonely in a cage all by himself), lives with my parents at the moment, because I moved across the country and didn't want to uproot him that long distance. Besides, my parents spoil him, especially my mom - he's better off! Simba turned me from not particularly liking cats, to absolutely loving them. He is a life-saver, too, literally - when I was depressed, he lay in bed with me (which he normally never did) and cheered me up, and when I was suicidal, I would think of how much Simba would miss me, and that would keep me going. I miss him, but he and I both love it when I come to visit - it's just like old times. Simba is an orange tabby.
The cat who currently lives with me is Murray. I have posted his story in the SOS Forum. He was a stray who decided to "adopt" me. He is a big Siamese. Unlike Simba, who's more independent, Murray is a cuddler. He follows me around everywhere I go, around the house. He is great company.
Both of my cats are indoors-only. There are too many dangers outside! I've never come close to losing Simba, but Murray has almost gotten away a couple times - I'm lucky to still have him!
I look forward to posting and reading posts on this site.
