I'm living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with my husband, and kids, and dogs, and my one feline fur-baby, Sumi (it's a Japanese name that kinda means calligraphy ink - and she's is a gorgeous black girl with the greenest eyes ever). Sumi is 4. We picked her up as a tiny kitten from the streets of Ethiopia. She seemed healthy, but came down with pneumonia, and which we later found was due to chronic asthma and fluid in her lungs, soon after we got her. We vaccinated her, but there were no FELV test kits where we lived, so we only found out when we moved to Thailand last year that she has feline leukemia. She was always an indoor cat because where we live there's so much rat poison and stray dogs and other nasties, but now she's going to be the only cat, since we don't want to risk infecting anyone else. She kinda loves having all the attention to herself honestly!
It's great to be here!
