This old Bird is NOT new to the forum/message board scene, and this format is very familiar to me, so I think I can get with the program in short order. However, being long winded and of short memory (it's not the age, it's the mileage), it will be a while before I get my wind and directions set.
Briefly, M'Lady (LadyBug) and I are owned by 6 little rescues, 4 being inside only kitties, two being 'walkovers', or as one unfriendly neighbor called them, stolen cats. Short story: they came one day visiting, I gave them some scritching and loving, a small handout of crunchy din-din and watched them meander back up the road to their home. Next day they came back, bag and baggage, and have been with us, living on the Cat Porch (read here carport), sleeping in the laundry room (heated in winter), for near 7 years. Their Xowner came a week or so after they moved in and asked if I had seen them. Well, short story .... I was gruffly gifted with them, and the neighbor has not been back since. Her loss.
Three of the insiders were picked up at the local flea market one at a time, and the one little House Panther I went to pick up in answer to an add in the local newspaper. M'Lady did the choosing of the other three.
Oh, I might say, M'Lady, when I first met her 48 years ago, did NOT like cats.
Now that I've made my mark, I'll dive into my CP and see about doing my portion of the decorating.
I am known on numerous forums and message boards as KnightOwl, but, if you wish, I gladly answer to Roy. M'Lady is Lisa. To the cats we are known as the servants, the Large One, and the Small One, and, of course, the can openers.
I'm gone for now .....
