Hi everyone! I just joined this site yesterday and I love it!! I have two cats, Maddie who is one and female and Tybalt who is four and male. Tybalt was my boyfriend's cat and it was the way that I saw how good he treated Tybalt which made me decide to date him seriously. While I was living on my own I had a cat, Essie, who I found and had been obviously abused. She was very agitated and a mean cat but of course it wasn't her fault and I loved her anyway! She had her times when she showed her love. When Tim and I decided to move in together we thought it would be great for Essie to have Tybalt as a new brother, we thought this might turn her around. Well she wanted nothing to do with Tybalt, poor Tybalt tried to be a good brother. Sadly, a couple months later Essie left us for Rainbow Bridge. Turns out she had liver disease that went undiagnosed. I was very sad and it took awhile to get over her death. I like to think that I gave her the best year of her life. After Essie left us we decided that Tybalt needed a sister. We adopted Maddie last year. Poor Maddie, not only did she have to get used to a new home but she was very sick with a respirtory infection. We had to hold her down and pry her mouth open to administer her medicine. We think this might be the reason why she took so long to be a cuddler. She's way better now. She lets us hold her, although for not too long and of course it has to be her idea to cuddle, a typical female. Tybalt is such a sweet boy. He comes when he is called and snuggles with us all the time. Maddie is the purrer out of the both of them and her daddy thinks her purrs sound like a lawn mower. There is nothing more comforting then my cats. Its a real comfort to wake up in the middle of the night and see Maddie sleeping between us and Tybalt sleeping at the foot of the bed. In the morning I awake to find Maddie inches away from me staring, amd theres no chance of going back to sleep. As soon as she sees I'm awake she starts giving me love bites on my nose and ears. Also, who needs a massage when you have Miss Maddie kneading on your back. They are such blessings to us. Maddie and Tybalt are our children and we couldn't imagine living without them. I'm excited about this site and I thank those who have responded already to me in previous posts. I look forward to conversing with you all!
