Hey everyone! My name is Stacey, and I'm from upstate NY. I recently made friends with a stray cat that decided to show up out of nowhere and plop himself on my porch. After weeks of calling cat rescues, the SPCA, and running lots of ads trying to find his owner, I had no luck with any of them. So after lots of debating, my husband and I decided to take him in. He of course, has made himself right at home like he's lived here all along.
His name is now Snickers. :-) He is technically my first cat, though I did foster a stray a few years ago that someone adopted from me. He is amazingly tolerant of my son (who isn't quite 4 yet), and has already attached himself to me. He hasn't been here a week and he's already let me brush him. I only wish I could cut his nails, though, but he's not too thrilled about me touching his paws. I'll have to work at it. Also have to work on some play aggression (he is a determined foot-attacker). Other than that, he seems to be a good kitty.
Well, before I get too long-winded, it's nice to meet you all!
