My five-year old has, for the last year, become unusually finicky. She had an established diet of 1/2 can of Sheba morning and evening with some kibble on the side.
About a year ago she decided than the Sheba was only occasionally interesting, the same with the kibble. She still insists that I give her a can of something in the morning and evening, but usually won't eat it. I've tried cheap and expensive cat food.
If she sees me cutting up chicken, she will beg for some, but upon close examination she walks away. Mostly she just nibbles on the dry food.
Otherwise she seems healthy, and in good spirits. Playful as usual.
Last week's check up at the vet found no blood problems, but she's lost a pound over a year. From 10 lbs to 9. (she's a runt of a cat)
The vet suggested I take her to a clinic that can do an internal inspection.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks so much.
