Hi the Kitten is 6 weeks old and earlier today my mum accidently stood on her, There are 4 kittens and they where running around she was hurt quite badly and was in alot of shock and she was bleeding (Also someone stole the mother about a week ago .) So we rushed her to the vet and he has checked her over and xrayed her entire body and she as also had pure oxygen.
We collected her around 2 hours ago, The vet said that he recommended she stay the weekend and we collect her on monday all being well or we can take her home and nurse her and then return on monday for a check up or the 3rd option is we say goodbye.
We chose the second option as we cannot afford the first. She has antibiotics that we have to give her and she has had some pain relief at the vets. she has no broken bones no injuries just a bruised paw and no internal bleeding but the vet described her as depressed. She is constantly asleep and is very very lethargic will hardly move on her own at all. I've managed to get some water down her and she has had some special food from the vet administered with a syringe which she took, whilst her eyes were closed. she opens them slightly when you lift her up but she is basically life less. I need some help/advice on what i should do next. should i just keep her warm let her sleep and keep giving her water and hope that maybe she is just a little sedated from the pain killers?
Please help.
Thanks
