Our mama cat disappeared or died in the last week. We thought maybe she'd come back so we kept waiting.... we even thought maybe she was coming at night to avoid us (despite that being out of character). We think an eagle or other predator or possible vicious feral cat got her (and her neutered brother, coincidentally) - yes, we live in back country. Anyway, by the time we figured out she was definitely gone her kittens had been without her for 4-5 days. 2 of the 4 lived and we think they are 2 weeks old (eyes open, wobbly legs). We found them yesterday - pretty emaciated and weak but thirsty and hungry enough to eat a 1/4 ounce every 2-3 hours or so of KMR. How long should we wait for a bowel movement considering the few days they were without mama? I added to this post because their behavior seemed so similar to original poster that I could have copied and pasted.
