Points - you collect them by posting.
With those points, you can purchase "gifts" for other members, you can purchase things like different colors and different fonts for that space where your username is at the top of your posts. You can move your points into the "bank" where you earn interest on your points. As to pictures? Most of us use
tags. That means we use a service - I use http://www.photobucket.com, and upload the pictures to that site. I usually resize my pictures first with Adobe Photoshop to a size of 400 x 300 pixels so the pictures don't show up as huge. Once the pictures are uploaded to my album at the photobucket site, you can click on the line that has the tags around it - that is a code that tells this site to show the picture at the location the tags are around.
