My 14 year old male taby can't meow anymore. I cut in and out and is extremly strachy if he does. that is if anything even comes out when he opens his mouth He was just dine up to a couple of says ago. he eat and drinks and does eveything else just fine. whats wrong with him? we also got a kitten 4 weeks ago... but this isn't his first time with a need pet.... also ... he is diabetic.....

Definately need to take him to the vet if you haven't already. There could be a number of things that could cause this.
Get him to a vet as soon as you can. Don't let a problem like this go to long.

There could be a number of reasons why his meow is missing. But just due to his age, it is a good thing to get checked out. Do you have toxic plants in your home? That can be one cause of kitty laryngitis-
