DH took Marshmallow outside for a few minutes and when he brought him back in, Marshmallow lost his balance. He acted confused and looked like his feet were curling up. It was the oddest thing. DH tried to call the vet immediately, but since it's a holiday, they weren't in. By the time DH hung up the phone, Marshmallow was walking fine, with maybe a slight limp on one of his back feet. We can't figure out what happened. Daisy had whacked him across the head earlier that day, but surely not with enough force to do serious harm. And DH had him outside all of five minutes, though Marshmallow's feet never touched the ground. (We sit outside and hold him because he loves to go out; we don't let him down.) It really scared us because we had an elderly cat (Garfield, RIP) who had a stroke and never recovered.
I would be thankful for any advice. Marshmallow is a young cat, less than two years old. We just can't imagine what happened.
