Sadly Kingsley has become very ill.... With what started as a UTI has now transformed into a variety of problems. Kings had been suffering, he'd pee blood and was constantly going outside of the litter box. A catheter, a change of diet, and some antibiotics later, he became better for a short period of time. Until recently I noticed he began to drag his back feet, more so on his right leg. It has gotten to the point where he can't even squat to pee... So instead he pees on himself. He's constantly falling all over the place because he has no balance to land on his feet anymore... Aside from that, he also pees on himself while he sleeps at night and has begun to have diarrhea.
Jumping from vet to vet, we have tried everything to get our Kings back to health. Spending about $800 in medication and procedures and still have a long way to go. After getting advice from a few vets, we have now been advised to see an orthopedic specialist and a neurologist for animals. Because this is such a rare case the vets are unsure exactly what he has. They believe Kinglsey may have one of the following, Aortic Thromboembolism, which are blood clots clogging his arteries which are EXTREMELY life threatening and time sensitive. Patella Luxation, which is the dislocation of his knee caps, very rare in cats, but this causes him to loose strength in his legs and would need surgical attention. Lastly, they believe it could be something neurological, possibly a nerve, and would explain why he is limping and having all of the other symptoms along with it.
We continue to be sent to other specialists for different forms of testing and the bill has started to accumulate, we now seek the public for any possible help from insight of what could possibly be wrong with him , to monetary to even just sharing his story on facebook or any other platform. Anything would greatly be appreciated.
