So i'm currently catsitting my at my parent's house because they are on holiday, and our cat is almost due. We've prepared a comfy little box with sheets where she can quietly give birth in. However, i'm beginning to stress out a bit, as she's not been sleeping or lying in the box yet. She only lies at our bookshelves, or on the floor. Obviously i don't want her to give birth there, and i cant imagine its comfortable for her to do so there either.
I've tried putting some food in the box, and lured her in, but everytime she jumped out immediately. Is this normal, or should i try other things? Is there something else that i can do? I usually work during the day, and i sleep at night. Shes very young and this is her first nest, so im kind of worried she might give birth in the wrong place.
Ive included a pic of the stubborn cutie at her hanging spots, and our box
