I just got my first kitten she is about 7-8 months. I am calling her Indy after Indiana Jones. She loves adventure in the sanctuary room and knocks everything over. Any advice? I have only had experience with adult cats 1 year and up.
Welcome! Congratulations on little Indy. My advice would have been to get 2 kittens, ha ha. When I got my first kitten a few people tried to tell me I needed two. I didn't listen but, a few weeks later I understood why two is easier than 1 and ran right out and adopted another. My other advice is keep Indy in her sanctuary room until you sense she is very confident in there and then let her branch out to other areas . Leave the door to her room open so, if she feels the need she can retreat there.Play with her with toys and not your hands and feed her really good food.
Kittens are easy as long as you keep them safe from household dangers and spend tons of time with them.
The people here are always happy to give advice whenever you should need it. I hope you can post a picture soon!
Her picture is the one on my profile. While I would have loved to rescue another kitten I am on disability and can only afford two. My other cat died of kidney disease a week ago so I adopted Indy. My older cat is still hissy but I sat on the floor with Indy and he rubbed me. Gave him lots of liver treats after (smells repulsive but his favourite)
