Just thought I'd stop by to introduce us. I'm currently a full time student in ceramics, the Mr. is a photographer. I spent years working with cats in a shelter, and interned with a veterinarian.
This is Ramsay. We got him as a kitten from the shelter I was working at. He's 2 years old this month and is a little angel. He never does anything wrong! He hates to be picked up and refuses to sit on anyones lap, but he loves to talk and get belly rubs.
We had a great big American Shorthair named Andy, who was only a year and a half old, pass away in January. He had a rare congenital heart condition. We found out that an experimental surgery which had never before been successful was his only chance. We decided to try it, and while the new technique was a success, it took them too long and he didn't make it. We still miss him a lot, but we're glad that anyone else who has a kitty with this problem will be able to live long healthy lives with them because of Andy.
And, with the loss of Andy, we found Gus. He's a terror and we're praying he grows out of it soon! He's 3 and a half months and is currently practicing his long jump from the table to the top of the refrigerator. He gets into everything, knocks over everything, but when he finally wears himself out he comes over and makes us hold him on his back like a [human] baby so he can nap. So cute!
