Hello from Minnow and I from the North Coast of California! I'm happy to be joining this community of cat owners. While my friends and family have been very patient with my need to go on and on about my animals, I'm sure I'll be doing them all a favor by finding another outlet to chat about them.
Minnow is my only cat, and it will probably stay that way as long as he's around. We decided we're a 1 cat household. Which doesn't mean we won't have other animals of course. We've also got 2 dogs and 2 rabbits. We just don't believe Minnow needs the company of another cat.
Minnow found us by walking into the hotel we work at. My boyfriend was working when this little gray tabby just walked in and went straight for the pantry where the food is kept. He was a very skinny boy, but very friendly! So much so we thought for sure he must have belonged to someone. We put up found postings online and took him to the vet to find he was already neutered. We never did get any replies so we decided he'd be staying with us.
I've never met such a sweet cat personally. When he was brought home as a surprise to me he immediately climbed onto my shoulder and started purring and nibbling on my ear. We now think he may have belonged to one of the homeless in the area because he loves being carried and sitting on shoulders.
Fortunately minnow has gained a lot of weight, but is still battling a sinus infection so you never know when he's going to sneeze and send a shower of snot onto anyone or anything that happens to be in his way at the time
I'll be posting some pictures of the little man later in this thread. Just gotta dig up the camera!
