Hi, everyone--
I am a 43 yo nurse from Holland, who has been a cat lover all my life. I don't know how many I have had, but the longest I have been without one was 4 years--that was four years ago, when my cat, Emma, died after 16 years.
I just got 2 little kittens (7 weeks) named Ella and Louis after Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Ella is a calico and Louis is a ginger cat; both are short haired.
They were so scared when they first got home here that they crawled under the oven and refused to come out. But after I fetched them and brought them on our bed, they have been really comfortable and happy.
Anyway, I'm really happy to have found this forum. It's been so many years since I have had a kitten in the house that I had forgotten a lot of basic stuff. Reading the various threads here has been a great help and reassurance.
I look forward to meeting all of you and exchanging stories about our little feline babies.
Jeff
