I would like to introduce my kitty, BooBoo. I rescued her when she was 9 days old after a little threw her against a wall hard enough to disfigure her face slightly. She has had several dentals because of the facial trauma and the vet didn't give her much of a chance but I fell in love with this tiny kitten and I knew immediately I had to find a way to get her away from those people. When the woman couldn't afford her vet bill I stepped in and paid it and took her home. She turned 12 years old in March and right now she is running around the house trying to catch a moth. She has lived with me in OR, AZ and now in CO and I can't imagine life with her out. She loves cars and 80s rock music I could go on about her forever.
I have worked in the vet industry for several years after leaving the corporate world and much to my dismay I have found that many vets know nothing about nutrition and do not believe in holistic medicine at all. They fill our pets with drugs, vaccines and Science Diet. I have been told I am a horrible owner because BooBoo has never been vaccinated, eats raw food and I refuse to use pesticides on her of any kind. My hope one day is to find a job working for a holistic vet.
I am hoping to learn some new things here and perhaps share some of my experience and information with you all.
