Have you ever adopted an adult cat?

I am actually kinda new to Fayetteville. I do know that the shelters are over packed as is. a little over a year ago Fayetteville actually tried sending out a gunman to kill 150 stay dogs! This is not a nice place for pets.

Oh my god, that is horrible!!!!  If you had time, it might be an idea for you to start one there with the help of some friends?  If you are able. I know it's not always possible. I would even try calling some rescues, or vets to see if they knew anyone who could help. It would be worth a few phone calls at least.

Unfortunately, I'll be out of state most of this month and when I get back I'll be packing getting ready to move at the beginning of march. :/

After my 5 year old Johnie died - I said to myself: I'll never take on a kitten.  If I ever adopt another cat - it will be an adult or elderly.

We are a family of old people ourselves, and that's why.

Kittens are too much of a responsibility.

Adult cats are what one needs.  (I mean if a person can't live without cats).

Now I still have 5 more adults who I raised from little kittens, but on the top of that we also have 2 new youngsters with sad story (but that is another story)...
