Has anyone used Heartgard Chewables for Cats for Heartworm prevention?

Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has used Heartgard Chewables for Cats to prevent heartworms. I've normally used topical stuff for fleas and heartworms, but I'd really prefer to not use it anymore if possible. This seems like a good alternative as fleas aren't really my concern, but heartworms would be.

I have used it in the past. It's beef flavored which most cats like. Does it work? I can't say but my cat never had any issues with parasites.
