I have been getting numerous emails claiming to be from Ebay saying my account is going to be suspended, for whatever reason, or that an unauthorized person has accessed it. And I must admit they know how to make it realistic, as they've placed all the logos, even fake a website... It will ask you to click on a link, and it brings you to a website which is a very good copy of the Ebay site... the detail: The URL is different. It will differ a bit from www.ebay.com, among other possibilities. In some cases the address won't even have the word "ebay" on its URL. And they WILL ask you for a credit card number, which makes it even less realistic, as they won't ask that unless you have a seller account. Another characteristic is that they will address you as "Dear Ebay User" Instead of using your username.
Whatever you do, don't give in to it. And if you think it might for real, then don't click on the link. Just go to www.ebay.com, log into your account and see if there's any problem.
I am wondering what would my parents do if it weren't for me, because they were already looking for the credit card in order to give them the number.
