I attempted to make one. So did my boyfriend and his friend. Let me just tell you that the materials ended up in the burn pile!! LOL

my partner started making one last night for pisces, he's put the basic wood frame together. we just need to get some bendy MDF for tunels, some sisal, preferably fabric but rope if thats the only option, and some fluffy carpety stuff for snuggling. i think the only bit thats going to be a problem is covering the inside bit of the den as i'm not sure wether to build the den, cover the inside & out then attatch it to the platform or attatch it piece by piece to the platform covering each piece as i go along. i'm sure we'll work it out as we go along & i'll take pictures of each stage & post them so you can see how we did it.

I started building my own cat tree. I'm more than halfway done with it, but the hardest part (the crow's nest) is yet to come. Here is a link to when I first posted about the one I'm building. There is a picture of the one that I am modeling mine after in this original thread.
