Has anybody tried an electronic cigarette?

I'm a definite nicotine addict, and have never managed to give up smoking for more than a year. I tried an e-cigarette today, and was actually impressed enough to order a cheap one online (they're legal here). If I like it, I'll probably order a better one that takes a greater variety of cartridges.

I'd like to have the nicotine kick without the smoke, but with the feeling of dragging on a cigarette.

Has anybody had any good or bad experiences with them?

My coworker tried for about a week.....she's still a chain smoker. I'm not sure why she quit, I'm afraid to ask because she went out and spent TONS of money on those things.

My DH has an En-joy brand electronic cigarette, and he loves it. The only problem is finding cartridges for the one he has. The pen type ones are hard to find, but the other ones for the shorter model are not. He coughs much less when he uses it, it does not stink up the house as much, and there are no nasty ashtrays. I hope the cartridges for his get easier to find, or I am going to get him a different one.
