It's a happy day guys! 2 of my adult fosters are going home this afternoon with a wonderful young girl!
She came with her Grandmother & friend Sunday to meet my blind foster, Ray Charles. He was a hit, and she knew right away he was the kitty for her, however, the whole time, another foster, Leo, was headbutting her and wanting attention. She really fell for him as well. I just happened to mention that where Leo was already neutered, the fee to adopt him would be next to nothing, and that he and Ray get along great. She said she wanted to think about it and get back to me.
Well this morning she asked my opinion. She was a little worried about space as she only has a small apartment. I told her that 2 isn't really much different from 1 and that if she's out of the home often, it would be good to have 2 for companionship as long as she was confident she could properly care for both of them. She replied back saying that she works 10 hour days and knows she could provide a great home to BOTH boys.
I am SO FREAKIN' happy because I really thought I'd have a hard time rehoming these 2, where Ray is blind and Leo is so incredibly thin and skraggly looking. This girl obviously has a big, loving heart, and these gorgeous babies let her know that they were the boys for her.
