One year ago I found a tiny little kitten under my car. I tried to pick it up and it ran to the neighbors car. I was determined to catch this little kitten and made a trail of treats that she started eating. I was holding my breath when I got her to start eating one right in front of me. Before she knew what happened I quickly scruffed her. I brought her inside and quickly saw how much love this little kitten needed. She was skin and bones and dehydrated. I got some yummy wet food out for her and she would only take water if I syringe fed it to her. She went to the vet the next day and was tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and the vet said she was lucky to be found she was so malnourished she wouldn't have made it much longer on her own. After she started to feel better and had her strength up, she began to hide under the bed and run when she saw a human. She is slowly coming around and will come out around me and she even allows me to pet/ pick her up sometimes, which is a long way from where she came from. She still has room to come around more, but I am just thrilled to be where we are at right now. Earning her trust has been difficult but so worth it, I get so excited when she allows me to stroke her more than a few times. The best sound in the world is those rare moments when she lets her guard down and will let me pet her while she lays in bed and she actually begins to purr! Even with her timidness I still managed to get some cute pictures of her as a kitten and occasionally she lets me get a more recent photos of her. You would never know from some of these pictures that she hid more often than she was out.

One of the better pictures of her where she is actually completely relaxed hanging out on the laundry pile
