hair loss on tuxedo cats ears

Hi my kitty otis is exactly one yr and four months old. He is very healthy, he had ear mites when he was a baby and not as bad anymore. I noticed two days ago that on only one of his ears its starting to look patchy like he's loosing either skin or fur or both. I just started a nee job at a vet but feel awkward to ask them anything because I feels its too soon. I just want to know if anyone could give me any advice on how to digonose or cure his problem he is my world and wanna make sure he is all good n dandy

Ask where you work. I'm sure they won't mind. It's not like you're asking for time off so soon after starting working there. Does he still have ear mites!
