Nope...Havent tried it either. It's green and gooey. And it's got tomatoes in it. Not my style. lol
Aah yes, we know it as coriander.Outside of North America, cilantro is usually called coriander
The kind in a plastic bag inside a box? I haven't had the spicy one (and now I won't), but you're right, the regular one is delish!Originally Posted by AbbysMom
It can be found in the produce section of the supermarket and comes out pretty tasty. The salsa one is good also. DO NOT BUY THE SPICY ONE! I love spicy foods, but it is a bit too much.
i don't make it - i buy it! i like the avo-classic guacamole, found in the produce section of the supermarkerOriginally Posted by VampireCat

Why not add your guacamole recipes to "Cooking with Cattitude"? http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=52

Not many people think to add garlic to mexican food, but it's YUMMY!! My family's LOVES my guacamole!
I am going to give this one a try. My sister rang last night she is coming up tomorrow to stay for a few days with her hubby, so i guess i will have my 'guinea pigs' to practice ondon't have an exact recipe for it. I usually take 2 avocados, about a cup of sour cream, about the same of salsa (whatever kind you like, however much you want), add some salt (to your own taste) and a medium clove of minced garlic. As far as the exact quantities of things, it's really up to personal preference. It's something you can change around and play with to find out how you like it. You can also use garlic salt if you don't have fresh garlic. Minced garlic in the jar is fine, too...and would be probably about a half teaspoon

I'm sure you guys'll love it. Let me know how it goes!Originally Posted by VampireCat

Without the peppers I would think that you were missing celantro.Originally Posted by menagerie mama
Ok, it's done and it turned out ok for my first time....it's good but I think it's missing something. I did: 2 avocados, 1 small tomato, about 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 medium clove garlic, minced, a spritz of lemon, salt and pepper. I can't tell what's missing, it's just not quite right. I don't like it spicy so no jalepenos....any ideas?
