growth in mouth under tongue

My 18 yr old cat has a lump under her tongue too. The vet has treated it with steriods and it did get better but now it's inflamed again.  I'm thinking I should suggest an antibiotic!? 

Any thoughts?

Oh, and I've also dealt with a diabetic kitty before.....sigh, the life of a pet parent!

Has it been biopsied to see if it's cancerous or not? Or does the vet not wanna do that at her age. Cammie's has not grown back since she had it removed two years ago! YAY! And now she's not only diabetic, she's hyperthyroid as well. *sigh* Poor kitty!
