I have a 'Cat Breed Encyclopedia'. As you would imagine, it lists all recognized, and some unrecognized breeds of cats. Each cat is listed with 1-5 "brushes' which are implicit of the level of grooming they require. Much to my surprise, Siamese have 3 brushes and the book says they require moderate grooming with a shammy cloth? I know that between Traditional/Apple Head, Classic and Extreme Wedges, there are different levels of shedding and types of fur, with traditional being the heaviest shedder and the Wedges being the lightest, but I can't imagine that they require that much grooming, especially as I've owned Siamese for my entire life and never "had" to brush them. Now that I've read this... perhaps I should have? Any Siamese experts on here to explain why they need "moderate grooming"?
Thanks in advance!
