Did you happen to ask your Vet about that Nutri-Cal and your concerns with diabetes, since it's loaded with sugar? 

nah... when I saw the ingredients, she was gone already (and since she's in favor of dry food for teeth health, I don't trust her nutrition-wise). 

Glad the Mirtazapine worked, just wonder what's causing his loss of appetite in the first place.   Hopefully once it's "jump started", he'll get back to normal eating habits.

It was probably Rascal. Most everything can be traced back to Rascal 

. He had an eye infection a while back, which caused me to lock him inside for two weeks to be able to treat him, which made him mad and bite the Rogue so he got an abscess 

 that's healed up now (apart from an allergy to the e-collar). All that probably scared the appetite out of my poor little Grisou

  I think you and the vet both did right and it sounds like Grisou has a good plan going for him.
