This may be a long post.Late this winter we noticed a stray cat wandering around our apartment complex at night. It was very skittish and would split when approached. We started leaving out milk for it and after awhile cat food when that started disappearing.
She was very shy and would run for cover at the slightest sound. After a few months she began to settle down and we were able to get her to come inside to feed and she would let us pet her and pick her up as long as she was in site of the patio door.
She looked a little scraggly at 1st and had part of her tail cut off and hanging.Once we were able to handle her we found that she had an old tattered collar so she was someones pet in the past. Then one night in July she decided to bring the family along.5 kittens in all sizes and colors.
Over the next few weeks we were able to capture 4 of the cats Momcat (her new name by default) didn't object. We kept 2 the other 2 going to our animal shelter. We were going to hold on to them till they found homes but we don't have a large place and they're a handful.
here's a pic of Koko and Precious and their mother who's pretty much moved in....
