Hello to all - 2-legged and 4-legged,
I did join some months ago and posted a couple of times but never formally introduced myself, so here goes...
I am Julie still on the better side of 30 (only just!), married for nearly 7 years with 3 kids aged 6,3 and 1. We are living in Frnace, right on the border with Switzerland (where we work), but we are from the UK originally - London in my case.
Growing up we had a couple of cats, that chose us, not the other way round. The first was a pregnant stray who appeared one day in our garden and followed me inside the house. It took us a time to figure out that she really had no home (there were loads of neighbourhood cats), but she had decided that we should be her family! She produced the 4 kittens who we eventually rehomed among people my parents knew, and Kit Kat got spayed quickly after!
The second was a burmese girl who belonged to neighbours who never paid her any attention. She much preferred our house to her own!
So fast forward to last year when we decided the time was right to add a cat to our family. We originally considered getting an American Curl, but there are so few breeders, that all the kittens went to other breeders so we ruled out that option.
After more research we decided upon an Exotic Shorthair, visited breeders and shows and eventually found a breeder and a kitten we loved. In a couple of weeks we will be welcoming Champagne, a blue point little boy into our lives - I can't say how excited we are!!!!!!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
