Goodbye Miss Tally Cat

Tally was one of the sweetest little kittens I had ever met. She would sleep on my pillow, with her tiny little face pressed against mine.

Unfortunately she was only with us for just over two weeks. As my son said "She was too little to die mom, I feel like I didn't even really get to know her yet"

We did everything we could possibly do to save her, but it wasn't enough. She had no chance from the start

I find some comfort in knowing that we did all we could and at least she died in the arms of her human that loved her dearly.

Tally you will be missed!

Lend Me a Kitten
I will lend to you for awhile a kitten, God said.
For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe two or three.
But will you, 'till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you and, should his stay be brief
You'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below I want this kitten to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in search of teachers true.
And from the folk that crowds life's land I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take my kitten home again?

I fancied that I heard them say 'Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done'
For all the joys this kitten brings the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But should you call him back much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.
If, by our love we've managed your wishes to achieve,
Then in memory of him whom we loved, please help us while we grieve.
When our cherished kitten departs this world of strife,
Please send yet another needing soul for us to love all his life.

You did more for Tally than you will ever know. To love her and care for her as you did gave her comfort and peace, for her to know she was wanted in this world is all she needed. You may have only had her in your life for a little while, but she wormed her way onto your heart all the same. This heart will shelter her now and continue to love her, as she will continue to hold you in her own heart as she slumbers in that patch of sun at the Rainbow Bridge. Her life was not in vain, she was meant to be in yours, and that gives it purpose and meaning. To never have known her at all would have been incomprehensible, now she is a part of your memories that will bring joy to your heart when you think of her in the future.
My heart goes out to you, to mourn a loved one is painful to the soul. But the bond that joins your hearts will be there forever. RIP precious Tally. You will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts that hold you dear. Sleep tight, sweet Princess!

I am truly sorry for your loss. My daughter lost her Siamese cat yesterday, too. You gave that little one all the love you could and did what you could for her. Just being there and giving her those to her in her short life meant everything to her.

So sad to hear when they pass so young, makes you wonder why and how it could happen, but like I just told another on here maybe God needed a special little Angel for a little child who has also passed, or for some special reason. But so young, it has to be crushing, so so sorry.

May your heart heal a bit more each day, God Bless......

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain

Get well on earth again
