My husband's allergies, & asthma seem to be getting worse. The doctor's thought he might have COPD. He doesn't believe that he has COPD, but I think he does, he has been having trouble breathing. He got sick last weekend after Rocky came downstairs. Would it be completely crazy to build a big she-shed with cat fence around it for the cats to stay in part of the time. It could even have a tunnel connected to the house if they don't have to be out all of the time. My husband is driving a truck now & is gone during the week. I have seen where some people fix them up really nice like guest houses. I could actually sleep out in it with the cats during the week. My in-laws will think I have lost my mind if they see that. I am in the country, so they are the only ones that might figure out I am doing that.
I have new air cleaners/filters running now, and I am going to shampoo the carpet & give cats a bath this week & see if that makes a difference. I am not sure if I will survive the cat bath part. But I don't know if that will be enough or not. I am also going to try to convince him that instead of replacing the carpet upstairs, we should just get rid of the carpet & have a wood floor.
I just bought an air quality monitor which is supposed to pick up allergens. I don't know if that will really tell me when the allergens are high or not. If it works, I could just make sure that the air tests clean when he is coming home.
