I am new to this forum but not to forum life in general. My name is Shoshanna and I am owned by 2 very easy to live with male cats of varying age.
Sammi (I know that is generally a girl's name but we thought he was at first) is a 2 year old tuxedo marked cat and is a joy to live with. He was my only cat for almost all than time. He has digestive issues that the vet told me were probably trauma related. Even though I got him at a very young age, about 5 weeks, he had a hard life. I found him at a garage sale in a bird cage without food or water or a litter box. I could not leave him there and we have been best friends since that day.
Mickey is the new member of our family and has surprisingly fit in very fast. He and Sammi already play and spat and do what cats do with each other. I have only had Mickey for a bit less than a week. He came to me from the Humane Society. He had been scheduled to be put down in Georgia and the vet noted that he was a really nice cat. So he saved him and saw that he was put in a good shelter to find a home when he was healthy. He is a 1 year old brown and black tabby marked male and one of the calmest cats I have seen. He loves being fed and eats like there is no tomorrow. I will have to watch that.
I want to thank you for the forum here. It is very informative and well organized and I am sure that I will love meeting you all. I am a 64 year old ex soldier lady who has been retired for about 18 years already due to health issues. The cats supply me with a lot of company and love and I try to return the favor. My major interests are art, cooking, baking, quilting, and I am a movie lover.
I look forward to getting to you you all.
