I do mostly commercial freeze dried raw (Primal) but also a little canned, about 25% (although we've recently switched and are aiming for  for 100% raw). No carrageenan - imperative to avoid for IBD kitties b/c carrageenan can cause inflammation of the colon, exacerbate loose stools.  Also, I avoid all gums, some gums can cause digestive upset in cats, especially guar gum which is derived from the guar bean (cats can't digest beans).  So Nature's Variety Instinct (not Pride) fits the gum free bill.  My cats are allergic to chicken, however, Tiki Cat's Gourmet Carnivore line is also carrageenan and gum free and doesn't have any veggies - even better.

This is the one that I have been using.  I use the Once Daily with 30 billion CFU.  It's dairy and soy free and contains L. Acidophilus.  I split approximately 1/3 capsule between two kitties.

A lot of people here use a Nexabiotic product.  I just went to the Vitamin Shoppe and looked for a dairy and soy free one..
