So far we have enjoyed our current cat, Bree, so much that my family has started bringing up the large possibility of another cat. I think that's a great idea and know we won't have trouble affording another cat, or providing care for one.
Bree is a spayed 1 1/2 year old female, but we're not too sure whether we should look for a male cat or a female cat. Are cats similar to dogs in that they tend to get along better with the opposite sex? Bree has never lived with another cat before, but she likes the dog's company, as long as he keeps "out of her bubble". For the most part, she gets lonesome easily, and I think that another cat would make a good friend for her.
I've already answered an ad online, and am awaiting a reply. I'm really excited about the idea of another cat, and just wanted to know everyone's opinions on the pros and cons. Appreciate everyone's thoughts - thanks!
