Getting A Cat To Use His Box More

So my male Manx is an outdoor/indoor cat (which I hate, but he is ultimately not my cat and I am not allowed to keep him entirely indoors or even get him a cat leash) and while he is box trained and still uses his box in case of an emergency, he prefers going outside to do his biddness.

How can I make my cat use his box more often? I just don't want him holding his pee in if we're gone for a long time and can't let him out. 

Does the Dr. Elsey's Cat Litter Attractant work?

The Dr Elsy's Cat Attract works really well, by all accounts. So long as the box is kept clean and he's happy to use it, I wouldn't be too concerned. I grew up with indoor/outdoor cats, and they would all do their business outside for preference...until it rained anyway :lol3:
