I've seen mention that Gerber has changed the formula in their basic meat foods and that cats don't like the new version with corn starch. I'm only posting this in case your older or ill cat is suddenly refusing the Gerber meat and you are worried they are getting more ill. You might want to compare the labels before you see the vet. I do not have any of the recent jars of the baby food nor any of the older ones, so I can't compare it with before. However, I did scan the offering on Amazon and corn starch is mentioned on the label.

They did change the labels a couple of months back. But Gerber has always had cornstarch in them, so that part is not new. It does say chicken (or turkey, beef, ham) in gravy and does list water, rather than broth. But Feeby still likes them, and I haven't noticed any change in the consistency.
