GoFundMe: A NEW LIFE FOR NUNU
With it being Black History Month, ways that non-Black folks can support the Black members of our community is by providing funds and resources directly to them. I hope that I can receive some assistance with my fundraiser for a stray cat, who we named Nuru (or Nunu which is her nickname), that I recently took in. I had to use money that I was going to use for my lease renewal on her vet care. As a Black, non-binary woman who now has three cats at home, it is really important for my material needs to be met so that these cats can receive care and we can all remain here.
Nuru most likely has eyelid agenesis and it can cost thousands of dollars to address this problem. The ophthalmology consult alone can cost up to $250. I do not have the financial resources to support treatment at this time. Please, please donate to the fundraiser if you are able to. I would also really appreciate folks to share the GoFundMe if you can. The first walk-in vet appointment for her cost $429 (copy of bill below and in fundraiser for transperancy). Not only do I need to pay this bill off, but I also have new upcoming expenses with spaying/vaccinating, consultation for her eye condition, and treatment/surgery for eyelid agenesis.
