Hi friends,
My fur babies and I just got notice that our building will be fumigated with Vikane gas for termites next week. I'm trying to get the apartment in order - bagging, etc, finding a hotel, fun fun.
I wanted to know if any of you had experience/opinions on care for post-fumigation. All the literature I have read says no residue is left, so I shouldn't need to clean/wash anything upon our return. That said, all the literature is posted by pest control companies, and I don't trust them to have my cats' best interests at heart. We have carpets, and I am on a very very tight budget - this was totally unexpected and caught me off guard, financially.
I can try and find an RV to stay in for the four days with my kitties, so I can save some of my "relocation fund" for a professional cleaner to come through after the fumigation, but I'd rather not if it isn't necessary.
Fellow cat lovers, do you have any thoughts or wisdom to share?
Thanks!
