The cynic/pessimist in me really doesn't like the sound of this, though I know that the Animal Control Facility means well. I hope that they prove me wrong.

I DID notice that you have to fill out the application, be approved, and then you don't get the cat until it has been sterilized.

Our shelter occasionally has "sponsored" cats available. These are cats that someone really fell in love with but for some reason couldn't adopt, so they paid part or all of the adoption fee to help the cat get adopted.

All I can think is they must be really desperate and need room. I hope they actually go through applications well.
