My cat has something going in with his mouth today after I fed him breakfast. When he opens his mouth (to groom, for example) it almost looks and sounds like his teeth are grinding and he has to work to close his mouth. He eats Prey Model raw for breakfast and today he had rabbit chunks (raw, meaty rabbit bones) with organ.
I've already made an appointment with the vet, it is tomorrow at 9:30am.
I just wanted to get with you guys too since I'm such a worry-wart. Does my explanation sound like he might have cracked a tooth? Has anyone ever experienced this?
He's been on a raw diet for almost 3 years now and I've never had a problem with raw bones before. Every time we go to the vet for his annual wellness checkup, my vet has always commented on how great my cat's teeth look.
