I don't want to give her back.
And I have good reason. But I feel bad. Thursday Night (9/11) I found a little black female kitten in my backyard. I then took her around the neighborhood looking for her owners, but it was getting after dark so I decided to call it a night and that I would post fliers in the morning.
Under further inspection, she is more like 5-6 months, as she is getting her adult teeth.. but she is the size of a 12 week old kitten pretty well! She can't be over 3.5 lbs. I then noticed she was in heat.
So Friday night I was walking my dogs down the street when I saw the kids right across from me, outside yelling "Here kitty, kitty, kitty! Here Bitsy!" and i knew thats who owned her. And that explains a lot about her behavior. She bites, scratches, attacks, and is just rough in every aspect of playing. But these kids are MEAN to animals. They had a dog before and they would kick it, hang it by it's collar, punch it. Most horile things. And the parents didn't do much better because the dog was one entire whole matt. I took him once and tried to clean him up but he too was very aggressive(I wonder why!?!)
He ran away a few months ago, and I guess this kitten was the replacement.
I feel bad, but no one in their right mind would give an animal to people like these people. So there is no way I am giving her back. They don't even know I have her, and it's going to stay that way.
But am I wrong to be doing this?
Also will be trying to find her a good home now. I can't keep her.
