Hi Everyone - happy to have found this forum today. My partner and I have 4 of our own cats - Elliott Jacob, Jeffrey George, Damien Hunter and Piper Elizabeth. Elliott is 13 and Piper is 3.
We also foster kittens with our local shelter and have been doing so for about 12 years. We have a dedicated kitten room in our house for them and find it to be very rewarding and so much fun. Most recently we have had some bad experiences with illnesses and 2 bottle babies dying in the fall of 2012 that I had become very attached to. It was heart wrenching and I swore I wouldn't do it again, but I did. We have had 4 kittens this season so far and have a very sick one on our hands right now. The reason for me searching a resource and support system. I posted in the Cat Health Forum about Ben our 10 week old foster that is struggling. We are planning on taking a break after this so we can so some camping this summer but also I need an emotional reprieve. I get so attached!
Thanks in advance for the support that you don't even know you are giving!
Debbie
