I finally had a happy ending with a foster mom. Molly had 5 beautiful babies yesterday. (Before her, I had 2 different foster moms that lost all their babies) I've had Molly for about 3 weeks. She's very sweet and always wants to be near me when I'm downstairs with her. When I went downstairs yesterday afternoon, she led me over to the box (where I had hoped she would have her babies). She went in, out, in, out, in Purring loudly, crying. Poor baby. Then she dashed out and ran into the kitty condo. And that's where she had them. I've never had a pregnant mom make so much noise. My first mom was so quiet I didn't even know she had them until I heard the little mews. (And I was sitting only a few feet away from her).
I did not think she would have them in the condo, so there weren't any towels in there, and now it stinks. I moved the kittens to the nice cozy box this morning, but she started moving them back so I put a towel down under them, but I'm hoping she'll decide to move them back to the box soon. Any suggestions?
They all appear to be doing well. Everyone finds a nipple and their little bellies are looking good. I love it when they take their nap in their little pile and Molly comes out for some attention from me. She's not upset about me touching her babies either. I had to clean one up for her cause she had 2 pop out so quick, she was ignoring the 1st one who was still in the sac.
Hope to have some pictures soon.
Oh yeah, another question. All my other kittens always had their ear flaps down when they were born and didn't go up for a while. These guys already have their ears up?
