I've been fostering kittens for about 3-4 years now. I've seen alot of neglect and just plain old " not giving a crap" as far as responsibility to owners who do NOT spay or neuter. Anyway, I have a set of 5 kittens I'll post pics. I've had them for a lil over 3 weeks now, They are all over the 2 pound range. They have there first vaccinations and physicals the other day. All checked out fine. One got adopted out and is doing great! The other 3 are eating well and growing. (They were all very skinny when I got them) Then there is this one lil guy...he is growing like the rest, eats well but does not seem to be gaining weight like the rest(he is growing though)
He is pretty skinny. I had the humane control officer take the lil guy today back to the vet. They admitted him and said he had parasites??? I asked well what does parasites mean?..just worms or more?..they were dewormed by this vet. I am worried about the lil guy and now worried about the other siblings..wondering if they will go down hill...I am worried about my resident cats..all r up to date on shots and I clean with bleach the living quarters and litter boxes weekly ..The kittens had there own litter box in the crate and that was cleaned and bleached daily. Now I am nervous and seriously thinkin about stopping fostering...but then I think what will happen to these poor babies. Some people say "let nature take its course".. i just can't live with myself if i know an animal is suffering, hungry, cold,..just can't do it. Any opinions, replys. I guess the ?? i am asking in all this rattling on is..what about the other kittens...they seem fine... and do i get my cats checked???
that is my shoe!!!
this is the kitten that is sick!!
