Hi! I am currently fostering a kitten that's around 2 months old. She's been with me for around 5 weeks now and eversince we got her she started the habit of suckling her paws. Now that she's around 10 weeks old I am wondering if there is anything I can do to break the habit?
She's on a proper kitten diet so no formula anymore.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, can you distract her with toys or play? It might take a while and repeated efforts but hopefully over time she finds other things to interest her mind :)

Give her a cloth with a corner soaked in formula to suckle on. Or try a soft, plush animal toy. I had a kitten who suckled a teddy bear her entire life, even as an adult. The urge to suckle is strong in kittens, especially when separated too young from mom. She could probably use a same-age playmate!
